Celebrating Our School Leaders and the Launch of Art Club

We would like to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding efforts of our school leaders, who continually contribute positively to our school community. Their dedication and initiative truly enhance the vibrant and supportive environment we strive to maintain.

This term, our student leaders have introduced an exciting new initiative: the Art Club! The Art Club is held every Thursday at lunch. It takes place in The Paint Pot, located in the A block Art Room, immediately after eating time. This club provides a wonderful opportunity for students to engage with art, express their creativity, and connect with peers in a relaxed, fun setting.

We commend our school leaders for their initiative, leadership, and commitment to enriching our school life, and we encourage all students to take advantage of the fantastic opportunity that the Art Club presents.

Empowering Parents to Navigate the Digital World: Online Guardians Shine at Education Day

This week at Education Day, parents and carers were treated to an exceptionally informative and insightful seminar presented by Online Guardians, focused on helping families navigate the evolving digital landscape safely.

The seminar offered a comprehensive overview of current online usage, emerging trends, and the cultures associated with student online platforms and gaming. Attendees gained valuable insights into critical data points, such as stranger contact , and the overall sense of safety students feel while online. Additionally, practical tools and effective strategies to support their children were shared.

Parents and carers left the seminar feeling confident and well-equipped to foster a safer, healthier digital environment at home. They received valuable take-home resources, including Family Technology Agreements and tailored screen time recommendations, empowering families to navigate the digital world thoughtfully and responsibly.

For ongoing support and further resources, parents are encouraged to visit the Online Guardians Parent Support Network.

Important Safety Reminder for Parents

We kindly ask that you refrain from sending thermoses filled with boiling water for students to prepare cup noodles at school. While we understand this is convenient, this practice poses a safety risk to our students. Additionally, we have been informed about the new self-heating hotpots that require pouring cold water into the packaged food, these can also be hazardous for students to handle and eat safely.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in keeping our students safe and healthy.
