Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope everyone has had a wonderful week.

It was fantastic to see so many families at school on Wednesday morning for the Book Parade and Celebration of Learning open classrooms. The beautiful weather certainly added to the occasion, and it was wonderful to see such a great turnout from our community. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Book Parade, with students showcasing so many colourful and creative costumes. It was a joyful morning that truly reflected the enthusiasm and spirit of our school community.

I am also delighted that Chatswood Public School has achieved an outstanding result in this year's NAPLAN. Congratulations to all our students for their hard work, both in their everyday learning and on the NAPLAN assessment days. A heartfelt thank you also goes to our dedicated teachers, whose commitment to providing high-quality education and supporting every student has helped achieve these excellent outcomes. I'd also like to promote the Lane Cove Fun Run, organised by the Lane Cove Public School P&C, which will be held on Sunday, 13 September 2026 at Kingsford Smith Oval, Longueville. The event features 2 km and 5 km courses suitable for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. It promises to be a fun community morning. Along the Fun Run they will have market with food and coffee, community stalls, children's activities, Kids Market Street and award presentations, including recognition for the fastest schools.

Best of all, 15% of each registration fee will be donated back to the nominated school's P&C, and they can really help Chatswood Public P&C also! When registering, simply nominate Chatswood Public School, and your family's participation will help support our P&C while enjoying a fun and healthy day together. I think this is a fantastic opportunity for the whole family to get active, connect with the community and contribute to CPS fundraising at the same time.
