Grade 5 & 6 Learning -Food Truck Expo and Bunnings Planting

Food Truck Expo
Bonjour mes amis! (Hello friends!) In Term 3, the Grade 5/6s started the Food Truck French project. We had the opportunity to host a food truck for the younger students and staff. The purpose of this project was to learn more about the language of food in French, explore different food cultures, and work together on a shared project while showcasing our French skills. The project took the whole term to complete and turned out very well in the end.
We offered a range of cuisines, including Mexican, Japanese, and other mouth-watering dishes. First, we designed our menus and prepared a list of ingredients. Then, we planned the design and advertisement of our food truck. On the day, we prepared and cooked the food we had planned, and served it to our “customers.” Of course, all orders and serving were done in French! The experience was enjoyed by everyone, and we’re grateful to have had such a wonderful opportunity.
