SCHOOL NURSING PROGRAM
The Department of Educations School Nursing Program for Foundation students is commencing in November. On Monday, each Foundation child will bring home a white envelope with information regarding the program. This service is offered to all children enrolled in their first year of school and is essentially an extention of the maternal and health checks that your child had in earlier years. Completing this questionnaire enables you to raise any concerns you may have regarding your child's health and development. This is a quick online questionnaire. If you require a hardcopy, please let the school office know and we can send one home for you.
Please note that if you are choosing NOT to utilise this service, please select the NO consent box within the online questionnaire or on the hard copy.

SCHOOL FEE SCHEDULE FOR 2026
We are committed to providing a Catholic education for primary aged children through balancing the need for responsible financial management within the school while maintaining sensitivity to the financial capacity of parents. School fees are not meant to be a burden on your family budget. If your family is experiencing difficulties in meeting your school fee commitment, please contact Liz O'Loughlin at principal@stlleongatha.catholic.edu.au as soon as possible as there may be concessions available to those who are in need.
School Fee Intention Forms for 2026 will go home next week. Please fill out and return to school by the return date of 14th November. A reminder that if you are choosing the 'pay in full' option, once school has started, payment will be required by the end of term 1.
For families with a HealthCare Card (HCC), the payments for a primary school child have risen from $154 per child to $400 per child. If you have previously filled out a form, you do not need to fill out another one. For those who are new to having a HCC to be eligible to apply for the Camp, Sports and Excursion Funding in 2026, your HCC will need to be current as of the first day of term 1. A valid HCC entitles you to a significant subsidy off your school fees whereby your fees in conjunction with the CSEF payment/s, school fees would reduce to $520 per family. If at anytime during the school year, you happen to obtain a HCC but have missed the cut off eligibility date, please let office know as we can certainly arrange a subsidy for you.

STAFF FORMATION DAY
Our Pupil Free Day on Monday was aimed at the formation of our teachers. In a Catholic School, faith and learning are integrated. To uphold their mission and provide a strong foundation for our students, teachers were invited to engage in this formation opportunity which took the form of a retreat led by Fr. Martin Dixon. Together the staff explored the topic - We Are Church through art work, reflection and prayer. The retreat was an opportunity to unite as co-workers, rejuvenating our spirits as we cultivated our relationships with God and deepened our spiritual lives.
