UNIT OF WORK &
SOCIAL EMOTION LEARNING (SEL)
Our Unit of Work topic this term is 'Watch Me Build It!' and students are getting ready to Sail into a Universe of Possibilities, as they embrace… their inner engineers.
During this unit, students will dive into the exciting world of design thinking! They will be guided through the creative process of ideation, prototyping, and collaboration. From imaginative concepts to a hands-on creation, students will explore concepts relating to force - including push and pull to create a prototype with their peers.
We will continue to work through the Resilience, Rights, and Respectful Relationships Program (RRRR). This program supports schools and early childhood settings in promoting and modelling respect, positive attitudes, and behaviours. It teaches our children how to build healthy relationships, resilience, and confidence. This term our topics for RRR are problem solving, stress management and help-seeking.
Using the RRRR Program and with support from Open Parachute and Zones of Regulations, we aim to help build positive social interactions across our class and the whole school community.
