Grade 2 News

Welcome back to Term 4! 

What a wonderful start it has been for our Grade 2 students. Everyone has settled back into routines with enthusiasm and positivity, ready for a busy and exciting final term of the year. 

In Literacy, we are diving into poetry, exploring rhythm, rhyme, and creative expression. Students are currently enjoying reading and writing different poems and discovering how words can paint pictures in our minds. 

In Mathematics, our focus is on measurement. We’re learning to compare, order, and measure mass and capacity using hands-on activities and real-world examples. It’s been fantastic to see students working together to explore and problem-solve in practical ways. 

A highlight of our week was a visit from Finn the Golden Retriever as part of the Responsible Pet Ownership Program. The students absolutely loved meeting Finn and learning about how to safely and kindly interact with dogs. It was a joyful and memorable experience for everyone! 

We’re looking forward to a term full of learning, creativity, and fun!
