Indonesian

Welcome to Term 4! We have a very exciting term ahead. We look forward to welcoming Felicia Loekman to our school, to work as an Indonesian language assistant. Felicia will be here on Mondays and Tuesdays for some weeks this term. Please make her feel welcome if you see her around. Felicia comes from Indonesia and is currently studying in Melbourne, while volunteering in schools across Victoria. Our foci for this term will be:
Foundation Learning Community:
We will be learning to use greetings (such as good morning/afternoon) in correct contexts and working with our language assistant Felicia to learn more about the country of Indonesia.
Junior Learning Community:
We will be learning Indonesian words for common items of clothing, while looking at traditional and modern clothing across Indonesia.
Middle Learning Community:
We will be learning Indonesian words for hobbies, games and sports and working with our language assistant Felicia to learn more about the country and culture of Indonesia.
Senior Learning Community:
We will continue work on our unit about animals of the Indonesian rainforest. We will begin to look at reasons for Indonesian animal extinction and endangerment, in the contextS of animal habitat, hunting and deforestation.
Have a wonderful weekend.
