Dear Graduates of 2025

It’s as if only a couple days ago we were in Prep huh? Learning how to read and write, it was all amazing. Everyone has grown, no, not just in height, but in confidence, and friendship. I’ll always remember each of our camps together, and every memory I’ll cherish.

Thank you to all the teachers that have supported us, for constantly being there for us, even when we don’t listen and fidget. You always put up with us asking questions again and again, so I am very grateful for your patience. To all our families who have supported us throughout our first half of our schooling journey, I hope you can continue assisting all of us for the next leg.

Soon, we will be walking into unfamiliar places, however we will be meeting new friends and facing new challenges all the time, but we’ll take everything we’ve learnt and keep expanding our knowledge persistently.

Even if we may be going our separate ways, most of us will hold Albion North as a place of memories, and a place to revisit and remember. Congratulations, Class of 2025, we have gone through six years of schooling so far and at the end of this year, seven.

Thank you, and enjoy the next steps in your journey.

When we started prep I didn't want to leave my mum's sight I begged, I pleaded and I hid, but I did end up coming to school as you can see, and I not only found some of the most important people of my life but I found myself too. As year 6s, we've not only learnt to read and write but we've learnt to care for others, work in teams and take responsibility for our actions and decisions.

From the beginning, school has always had its highlights and exciting moments, such as movie night, our first excursion to the museum and meeting new people. By the time we finished year two we weren't those shy little kids anymore.

As time went on, we went on our first camp the moment after camp, stepping off the bus everything changed. We knew we had to do more by ourselves, and we wanted to. There were many different tests and competitions that helped us grow. Some of those were the opportunities to be part of the athletics carnival, being part of our first Naplan and getting more homework. As most of our firsts were over. Vie were ready to become those role models we had looked up to.

Finally we arrived in grade 5/6. Being top of the school. Our expectations were higher, we had to become the role models we always looked up to. Every year we've had an annual House colour day, we took pride in dressing up representing our houses. Knowing all those were coming to an end. made each and every event of our last two years of primary school even more special.

To all the teachers that have taught us along the journey. On behalf of the grade 6s, thank you for pushing us to be the people we are today standing in front of you, the people who are ready to take our best steps into high school. Lastly, thank you to our past and present leadership team, for guiding us through the way and always making the time to talk to us.

Thank you all for being part of the journey.

To all Graduates,

How the years flew by so fast, it felt like yesterday I’ve only just stepped into the school gates and ready for the first day of prep, dreaming of me in year 6, graduating primary school, ready to go off and become a high schooler.

I’ve always thought they were so cool, so funny, so awesome. I always wanted to be just like them. However, now I want to stay back in prep again, where I would learn how to add numbers and not do tests, where I would enjoy life being a little kid and where I always looked up to the seniors. I remember back when I was in Prep/1A, a student in my class stuffed a whole lemon in his mouth, the teacher watching it in shock, wondering how he did that.

The school captains I’ve always thought they were so cool just like the Year 6s. I’ve always wanted to be one, and I’m so honoured that this year I got the opportunity to become what I’ve always wanted to achieve when I was little.

I can’t believe how I’m already going into high school. meeting new people and new teachers. Luckily, I have some of my greatest friends coming with me to experience walking into the big school gates for the first time, just like I did in prep.

Thank you to all the teachers I’ve had through all the years, watching me grow up and watching me achieve my goals in school. You have made me strong, confident and made me believe in myself.

I just want to say a big thank you to Mrs Galea and Mr Harrison for really helping me try to accomplish goals and making me the role model I am today, and of course all the Teachers that have taught me over my primary years.

Thank you all for the memories.
