Maths Demonstrations

During the week, we welcomed some special visitors to COHR - including staff from MACS, teachers from neighbouring schools, and Mathematics Whiz, Mr Brendan Lee.

Brendan led engaging mathematics lessons in the Year 1/2 and 3/4 classrooms, which were observed by teachers from COHR and other schools in the southern region. Following the demonstrations, the teachers participated in a constructive post-lesson debrief.

Brendan’s lessons showcased the explicit instruction model in action - featuring a daily review, modelled teaching, guided practice, and independent practice.

MACS staff filmed the sessions to create a professional learning video for other teachers, which we look forward to sharing with our community before the end of the term.
