Level Four

For the past couple of weeks, students in Level 4 have been participating in gymnastics. Students have been developing their strength, balance and flexibility with a variety of gymnastics circuits. We are looking forward to visiting Doncaster Indoor Sports Complex in the coming weeks to try out our new skills in the gymnasium there.
Writing- we have been writing entertaining narratives using powerful language. Students have been expanding their vocabulary enabling them to make informed choices about the verbs, adjectives and adverbs they use to enhance their writing.
Maths - students have collected data on a chosen topic and formulated a variety of graphs.
Reading- We have been evaluating the author's purpose.
- To Inform – to give facts, teach, or explain something. Example: A news article or a textbook chapter.
- To Persuade – to convince the reader to believe or do something. Example: An advertisement or an opinion piece.
- To Entertain – to make the reader enjoy the story. Example: A novel, poem, or comic.
Student voice -
Eesa 4D- Dance curriculum was very fun and it was good to know how to dance. It boosted my confidence to perform in front of people.
Hana 4D- I liked doing badminton in PE this term. I started hitting the shuttlecock better.
Hana 4K - Writing my my imagination grow stronger because we are writing a narrative. I think when I grow up I might be a writer. My narrative is about a girl who's wish comes true but humans want to destroy this world.
Amin 4E- The dance was really fun because we got to do really cool moves. We all were shocked when the teachers did their moves.
Nicholas 4K- Gymnastics was pretty fun. We got to learn poses. I am looking forward to more lessons.
