Revision Lectures

The school receives funding for Revision Lectures, which then is utilised by different Unit 3 & 4 Subjects. The Health and Human Development class attended an online revision lecture recently, hosted by Andrew Beaumont (the textbook author). Students found the session to be valuable and appreciated the opportunity to prepare for their upcoming exam.

Art - Appropriation and Inspiration

In this elective subject, students researched an artist they wanted to explore further. From this research students created a number of sketches in their visual diaries.

The students' final designs were created on paper using a variety of media, such as oil pastel, watercolour paint, pencil and digital media.

The student appropriated the artwork by copying the image but making slight adjustments to make the image their own.

Youth Crew

This week, first year Youth Crew students attended their yearly camp at The Outdoor School - Bogong. They were assessed on the skills learned throughout the year, made safety presentations and continued their learning with some fun challenges. As part of the camp, it was time to elect our 2026 Youth Crew Captain for Mount Beauty SC. I'm happy to report that Daniel will take up this role and was handed his Red "Captain" helmet from the outgoing 2025 captain, Evvy.

2026 is looking to be another exciting year for Youth Crew with a good amount of applications received from the incoming first years. Over the next week, applications will be read and conversations held with the students, culminating in the announcement of the 2026 incoming squad.

Again, congratulations to our 2nd year students who completed the program.

Fundraising

Last term, people chose to dress with a touch of green for the Free Dress day organised by the student executive. Together we raised $110 which has contributed to the purchase of 44 trees/shrubs.
