A Little Help from Our Community ❤️
At St Joseph's, we are so grateful for the kindness and generosity that makes our community so special. From time to time, some of our families find themselves in need of a little extra support — and a simple, home-cooked meal can make a big difference.
If you are able to help by providing a cooked meal, we would love to hear from you. Your support, no matter how small, is always appreciated and helps remind our families that they are not alone.
If you’re able to assist, please contact Jessie Hower on 0429633567
Thank you for the care and compassion you show every day — it truly reflects the spirit of our school community
Faith-Based Inquiry – Level 1/2
🌏 Caring for Others
In Faith-Based Inquiry this week, our Year 1/2 students have been learning about those who are less fortunate than ourselves. Together, they explored what life might be like for children in other countries who don’t always have access to everyday essentials — things we often take for granted like clean water, healthy food, a warm place to sleep, and schooling.
Through stories, photos and class discussions, students began to understand how blessed we are — and how Jesus calls us to show compassion and generosity towards others. We talked about small but powerful ways we can make a difference, like sharing what we have, saying a prayer for others, or being grateful each day.
The children showed great empathy, asking thoughtful questions and expressing a real desire to help. One student said, “I want to give my toys to someone who doesn’t have any.” Another reflected, “We can pray that everyone gets food and love.”
It was a beautiful reminder that kindness and awareness start young — and that our 1/2s are already living out Jesus’ message to “love one another as I have loved you.”
