Principal's Update
Introducing Our New Staff
Allan Fjording
I am a Danish Australian (dual citizen), who grew up in Adelaide but have more recently spent 17 years serving in an international school in Thailand. I have been in Christian education for 30 years. I have four adult daughters and one grandson. I love Golf, running, cycling and Basketball amongst other sports and hobbies. I enjoy cooking and baking and I love living in the country much more than in big cities. Warrnambool has been such a welcoming place; it has been easy to transition to life here in Victoria - a new start. I have really enjoyed my experience so far at King's College and am looking forward to many years of fruitful service.
Emma Duffy
Hi, I'm Emma Duffy. I have been a King's College parent for the past three years, and now I am excited to be part of the Administration Team. I have a passion for sewing, craft, and art. I love animals and my menagerie consists of two Parrots, two Cats, and a Border Collie. My family loves Scouts so you'll mostly find us exploring the great outdoors, camping, hiking, and bike riding.
Regina Cassidy
Hi, I’m Regina Cassidy and I have previously worked at King's College from 2016 - 2021. I left to have three children, Herbie, Clara and Bonnie. This Semester I’m back to direct the college production, The Hello Girls, and to teach the Year 9/10 Drama elective. I enjoy running, outdoor activities and cooking. We spend a lot of our family time at the beach. I am looking forward to putting on an excellent show in June and getting to know everyone.
2025 Commencement Service
We invite you to attend our 2025 Commencement Service on Wednesday 12th February at 7PM in the King's College Auditorium.
This is an opportunity to formally commence the school year and pray for the year ahead. We will also be inducting student leaders including School Captains and House Captains for 2025.
As this is a whole school event, all families are encouraged to attend. Students are expected to attend wearing full Summer school uniform. We look forward to seeing you there.
Learn to Play Bagpipes
Looking for a unique and exciting instrument for your child to learn? Why not try the bagpipes!
Students will begin their musical journey on a practice chanter, gradually progressing to a full set of bagpipes as they develop their skills. Lessons take place on Thursdays during school hours and run for 20 minutes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to explore a traditional and distinctive instrument. Spots are limited, so sign up today! For more information or to register, please contact Reception.
Reminders
Changes to Your Child's Medical Needs
We understand children's health and medical needs can change from time to time as they develop and grow. As parents, it is your duty of care to inform the school of any changes to your child's medical needs. Please let us know if this is the case. We must have updated Asthma and Anaphylaxis plans and medications at school. Thank you.
School Library Bags
Library bags are required for all Junior school students from Prep to Year 6. The bags help protect our valuable resources and are available for purchase from the Uniform Shop for $5. If your child does not already have a Library bag, come and choose your own unique design and help protect our books.
