St Patrick's Before & After School Care

On Tuesday night children rolled up their sleeves and got cooking. We learnt to measure butter and flour and mix the ingredients together. We added the choc chips last and tracey helped rolled and bake them for our afternoon tea on  Wednesday. Cooking builds confidence, helps physical development, communication skills, build relationships, creates creativity, promotes cooperation and builds mathematical skill

Watercolour painting develops and fosters creativity, has a calming effect, stimulates the brain and works on fine motor skills. Children can express themselves, develop hand eye coordination. Watercolour painting is always a favourite, they always turn out beautifully and the colours always seem to be so vibrant and bright. It’s very satisfying for the children. 

Homecorner this week is dress-ups, it allows children to use their imagination. It gives children permission to to pretend to be someone or something different  and extraordinary that reflects their personality and current interests and promotes more independence by allowing kids to practice self care skills

Before & After School Program:

Dear Families,

We’ve had a very positive start to the year, welcoming many new and returning families. As a reminder, if you think you may need to use Before or After School Care, we kindly ask that you complete an enrolment form for each child.

Lately, we’ve had several children arriving at the program without a booking. To ensure the health and safety of all children and maintain staff ratios, it’s important that we know in advance who will be attending and have their emergency contact and health information on file.

Additionally, if your child is attending the program, please remind them so they arrive on time. As part of our safety procedures, we are required to phone emergency contacts for late arrivals and notify the police if children have not arrived by 4:00pm.

Kingston Council is proud to partner with St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School to offer a fun and exciting Before and After School Program that operates each day of the school term (excluding public holidays) in a supervised, relaxed, safe and fun environment. Each program has a dedicated Qualified Educator along with our highly qualified and experienced Educator team. Sessions offer a mix of structured and unstructured indoor and outdoor games, art, craft, cooking and special events.

Children are provided with a heathy and delicious breakfast in the Before School Program and nutritious afternoon tea during the After School Program. To make After School Care even more fun incursions and special visitors are a regular feature,  past special incursions have included Bunnings workshops, Yoga, visits by Local Sporting Teams and Silent Disco to name a few..
