Year 8

Emma Stevenson

We’ve had a positive start to the year, with students settling into routines and engaging actively in their learning. As a team, we are excited to focus on developing student leadership  with our Homegroup leaders already selected and beginning to work across the cohort, empowering students to take ownership of their learning and school community. Our Year 8 vision is to support a collective, cohesive learning environment where students feel safe, welcome and empowered to collaborate, contributing positively to their own and others' learning journeys. We look forward to working alongside you to help our students thrive this year.

Emma Stevenson, Y8 Learning Leader

2025 has so far seen Year 8's  taking responsibility in the school environment. In Year 8, the class leaders will be displaying their leadership by taking on responsibilities such as monitoring the hallways, assisting teachers, or even carrying out the smallest tasks like tidying up the book nook. These actions, although seemingly minor, help maintain a positive and organized environment, demonstrating commitment to supporting both peers and the school community as a whole. Through this role, the class leaders will improve and highlight each individual person’s skills in responsibility, teamwork and problem-solving.
