'Together Everyone Achieves More'
There is a beautiful feeling across the school and a positive vibe out in the school yard. Staff and students are all talking how wonderful it is to be at school. We have a younger cohort of students this year and an even spread of students across the year levels. Students have been busy working and learning in their classrooms with their teachers and reflecting responsible behaviours in the yard.
This terms theme is about being 'RESPONSIBLE'. Part of this learning has included building our capacity for help seeking behaviours. Students are encouraged to speak up if the feel uncomfortable or do not like what they see or hear. It is important that 'ALL' students at Cowwarr Primary School feel safe. We are a team and within that team we are made up of a diverse group of people. We respect that everyone is different and that everyone needs different things to be successful at school. We work with all of our families and students to provide a supportive and inclusive environment.
At Cowwarr, we appreciate the support of all of our families as we work together to create an environment where students have a sense of belonging, identity, and agency.
Everyone, everyday deserves to have a great day!!
Swimming Carnival
Unfortunately, for this year's swimming carnival not all students will be attending the event. It was a decision made by the Cluster that this year would only include competing students. We wish April and Brylie the best of luck in competing in this years swimming event and look forward to hearing about their achievements.
In lieu of not attending the carnival, School Council has approved an excursion to the Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre (Traralgon Indoor water play park). So while we miss out on participating in the Carnival, we will still get the opportunity to enjoy a fun day out
Award Winners
Congratulations to students who received awards at our school assemblies. We are so proud of all of our students for showing exceptional behaviours that model and reflect our school values. It is not always easy to choose just a few students for awards as everyone is putting their best foot forward!! Go Team.
Excursion
Students in grades 4, 5 and 6 attended an excursion to our local Timber Mill in Heyfield. We have been on this excursion for the last few years now but we love going along.
I can't believe that it is nearly half way through Term 1 already! They do say time flys when you are having fun!!
Thanks Team
