MACSeye OSHC News
Welcome to the Doveton Primary School OSHC Program! We are excited to share the wonderful activities and experiences your children will enjoy during their time with us. Our aim is to create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where every child feels valued and inspired.
Feeling Safe and Supported
Our dedicated staff is always available to meet the needs of every child, ensuring they feel supported and secure throughout their time with us. We prioritise health and hygiene by encouraging students to wash their hands regularly, especially before meals and after activities. This helps children develop self-care skills and an understanding of personal health (Learning Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of well-being, LO.1.1 Children have a strong sense of identity, Children feel safe secure and supported).
Nutritious Afternoon Tea
We believe in fuelling young minds and bodies with healthy snacks. Each afternoon, children enjoy fresh fruits, yogurt and prepacked snacks. These nutritious options support their overall well-being and help them stay energised for the exciting activities ahead (Learning Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of well-being)
Creative Arts and Crafts
Creativity is in full bloom at our OSHC program! With a variety of art and craft materials available, students express their imagination through painting, crafting, and playdough. These activities help develop fine motor skills, foster self-expression, and encourage innovative thinking (Learning Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners).
Board Games for All Ages
Our diverse selection of board games caters to different age groups, promoting problem-solving, strategic thinking, and cooperation. Playing together strengthens communication skills and builds friendships (Learning Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world, LO.5 Children are effective communicators).
Rest and Chill-Out Zone
For those who need a break, our rest and chill-out zone offer a calm space to relax, read, or engage in quiet activities. This area supports emotional well-being and self-regulation (Learning Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of identity).
Outdoor Adventures
Weather permitting, we enjoy outdoor activities every day. Fresh air and physical play help children develop gross motor skills and appreciate nature. During Terms 1 and 4, we ensure children are sun-safe by wearing hats and applying sunscreen (Learning Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of well-being).
Building Communication and Friendships
Our program fosters positive social interactions through group games, collaborative activities, and open communication. Children learn to build friendships, share ideas, and respect others' perspectives (Learning Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world, LO.5 Children are effective communicators).
Your Feedback Matters! We value your input and are always looking for ways to improve our program. Please feel free to share any feedback or suggestions with us. Together, we can create an enriching experience for all our children.
Thank you for being a part of our Doveton Primary School OSHC family. We look forward to an exciting journey of learning, laughter, and growth!
