A Message from our School Captains

Hi everyone,

We are thrilled to be the AGPS school captains for 2025! Here is a little bit about us...

Rosie:

Hi AGPS community! I'm Rosie, one of the school captains of our school. I am super excited to contribute as much as I can to make our school a better place with more opportunities for all kids.

I enjoy performing arts and theatre, and believe in giving kids like me more musical opportunities. One of the ways I am hoping to improve our musical education is to continue Drama Club and to explore other performing arts opportunities such as Stat School Spectacular, as it is a great experience for students to build confidence in front of an audience.

I am also very passionate about protecting the environment, which is why I think it would benefit the school greatly to start something called Ozone Day. This day will include walking or riding to school, but with prizes and kids' own creative spin.

Finally, I have always wanted to make AGPS a more neuro-diverse friendly place and therefore intent to introduce the Sunflower Lanyard (a special necklace worn by people with hidden disabilities).

In my free time, writing, netball and tap dancing are some of the things I love to do. Throughout 2025, I will try my very best to display leadership qualities such as dedication, empathy and being an upstander, and will work to make our school a fun place for everybody.

Matilda:

Hello AGPS community! I'm Matilda and I'm a school captain! I went for this role because I wanted to make our school a better place (it's already amazing) and I believe the other school captains and I can do that. I am also looking forward to working with David and Cam and of course all of the other leaders. I believe that our ideas combined with the support and help provided we can improve and raise the school higher.

I have many hobbies such as sport, art and writing.

Thanks for taking the time to read, have a great day!

Ned:

Hi everyone! My name is Ned and I am a school vice captain for 2025. I want to help the school be the best ever by speaking with all the students and finding out what they like and find fun. I will also find out what they don't like and see what we can do to change that.

I love helping people everywhere. By the end of the year I hope the whole school will be happy with everything we do and they have more chances to do the things that they like.

I hope I can make lots of improvements to our school and cannot wait to see what we change over the year!

Michael:

Hi, I'm Michael. I am a vice captain for 2025. I love to play guitar, swim and be outside. I have many great ideas for the school like adding recycling bins to the yard. This will help our community. Another idea I have is School Growth Day, where every student brings a seed and plants it in a desired location.

I love this school and it's wonderful community and hope to improve it even more!
