Vision for Learners

NAPLAN
Coordinated Practice Test
Year 7 students across South Australia will complete a national coordinated practice test on Tuesday, 25 February. Our students will complete the practice test during Lesson 5.
The purpose of this practice is to check for technical readiness prior to the testing period in March. It is important to note that the results of the practice test are not recorded.
NAPLAN
Online Testing Dates
Further to the announcement on the practice test, we also have the dates in which we will run the four NAPLAN tests at the College.
Endeavour’s NAPLAN testing period has been designed to allow for as little disruptions as possible.
The Year 7 and 9 students will complete NAPLAN on the following dates:
- Wednesday, 12 March - Writing
- Thursday, 13 March - Reading
- Friday, 14 March - Language Conventions
- Monday, 17 March - Numeracy
Students are reminded that they need headphones that plug into their laptops and fully charged laptops for each day of test.
We urge parents to avoid scheduling medical appointments for their children during NAPLAN testing periods to ensure students have the best opportunity to complete the assessments without disruption.
Charging stations are available around the College should students wish to charge before their test. Should there be a need for an exemption from NAPLAN, please contact Lucy Higgins.
Please also have a read of the Privacy note in relation to our obligations to MYCEETYA.
If you have any questions about NAPLAN, please contact me at lucy.higgins@endeavour.sa.edu.au

TASS Pastoral Care Notifications Activated
Please be aware that we have now enabled the ability for you to receive notification for some Pastoral Care entries. These include when your child received a Reminder or if they have been assigned to the ARK (Assessment Reset Kiosk) for non-submission of work. We recognise that it is important for you to be aware of the same patterns of behaviour we might be seeing, allowing you to continue conversations at home. The notifications do not replace the face-to-face conversations we will continue to have with your child and the phone or face to face conversations we intend having with you. We also hope that having you notified does not elevate the notification beyond what it is – a Reminder.
If you do receive a notification via email or through the TASS Notifications function, please follow the link in the message which will allow you to see just what the entry was for.
We hope this communication allows us even more transparency in our processes and strengthens our partnership to support your child to be the best version of themselves.

Endeavour Scholarships
As a way to encourage and recognise student excellence, the College for the first time, is offering Scholarships for students entering Year 10 in 2026. The scholarships range in value up to 50% of the College tuition fee for three years. Students who apply, will sit the ACER Scholarship test on campus later in March. Further information and the links to apply can be found on the College website under Scholarships. Please note that the closing date for all applications is 7 March 2025.
Progressions Policy
During our Parent Information sessions this week, the last Anchor and in College assemblies we have been ensuring a consistent message in relation to the Progressions Policy that will come into full effect this year. For the majority of students this will have no impact as they will have earned automatic entry to the next year level and subjects by meeting the criteria of
- Achieving an academic grade of C- or higher (some senior subjects have higher grade requirements)
- An Attitude notation of 1-3
- 80% Attendance on campus
Students need to meet these benchmarks to move to the next level of the subject. Students who are struggling to meet these benchmarks are encouraged to be proactive in seeking support from their teachers, the Hub or specific Help Clubs. Not meeting the three criteria will result in a student not being able to continue with this subject. In compulsory subjects, students and families will attend a meeting with senior staff to plan support options as well as develop a learning plan for the start of the next year. In all cases student ILPs are taken into consideration.
Knowing this well in advance is important. Any more specific information about criteria in some subjects can be found in the Senior Curriculum Guide and on class Canvas Syllabus pages.
