From the Leadership Team

When reflecting on my first few weeks at Endeavour College I count myself truly blessed to have joined such a vibrant and inclusive learning community. The willingness of students to greet me in the yard and introduce themselves has made me feel very welcome and says much about the character of the community. I know I speak for all new staff in this regard.
There have been many occurrences where I have noted what is special about Endeavour College but standout to me was witnessing the dance mob in the Mall during Week 3.
Despite the outside temperatures well into the mid-forties, the students responded to
DJ Mr Pearse, with high energy dancing, a great sense of fun and freedom to express themselves.
I have been very impressed with student agency in action. The Student Executive along with Sporting, Cultural and Village Captains have made a positive start to the year, working
tirelessly in the background to prepare a number of significant events. Their efforts will ensure we have memorable events at the Swimming Carnival, Athletics Carnival and upcoming Year 12 Formal.
Year 12s all share in the responsibility for student leadership at the College and their lead in setting the tone of the College is important beyond their comprehension. I would like to publicly that them for embracing this responsibility and getting the small things right like meeting the College presentation standards, following off campus and student driver protocols and using their study lines productively.
Week 4 commenced with our first major community event, the New Families Picnic. The evening was a great success with over 60 new families gathering on the College lawns in near perfect weather. It was a wonderful opportunity for families to meet their Head of Village and Care Group teacher.
Following the picnic, Parent Information sessions were held for families of students in Years 7, 10, 11 and 12. These presentations covered College structures and processes, as well year level specific events and learning opportunities. One of the key changes for 2025 is full implementation of the new Pastoral Care model and the critical role of Head of Village in the whole school journey of each student.
