From the Principal

This year we will continue to celebrate something truly remarkable, the relentless pursuit of excellence, the unwavering dedication to learning, and resilience.
Each student attending the College has commitment to personal growth, a hunger for knowledge, and the courage to push beyond limitations as part of our Endeavour Way ethos. For our students as you embark on another year of schooling, you are not just students; you are pioneers of your own future, architects of your dreams, and beacons of inspiration for those who will follow in your footsteps.
The purpose of schools education, and study is quite simply—learning. Learning at Endeavour is holistic and takes its form in numerous guises, whether in our focused classrooms, performance on stage, or participation on fields and ovals. Importantly, learning also involves your spiritual growth, experienced through wellbeing and spiritual experiences.
Our Christian and Endeavour ethos underpins all aspects of College life. We all can (and do) learn as we go.
At Endeavour, we do this by:
- Encouraging excellence. As I said at the Opening Service and the High Achievers Assembly in Week 1 and 2, excellence is not about perfection—it’s about putting in the effort and embracing a growth mindset. Setbacks aren’t failures but opportunities to learn. Excellence is a continuous pursuit, a journey shaped by our willingness to adapt, innovate, and face challenges with resilience and determination.
- Embracing a passion for lifelong learning.
- Developing a sense of meaning and purpose, which expresses itself in a spirit of service and self-giving.
- Proclaiming the challenge of community building, commitment to others, and responsible decision-making.
- Cultivating resilience, resourcefulness, and adaptability as important skills for life.
Our Class of 2024 demonstrated these aspects in spades, with each other and our community. Led by our College Captains and leaders, the Year 12s encouraged one another to be passionate about learning and to create an academic culture. The quest for excellence was evident in the dedicated, collaborative approach both in and beyond the classroom, in Village life, and in extra-curricular activities.
It was a privilege to celebrate this with the community at our recent High Achievers Assembly for the class of 2024.
The Class of 2024 was instrumental in welcoming all to our community and promoting our Christian faith and the Endeavour Way. The 2024 Year 12s supported one another and, through our pastoral care program, looked out for younger students. This group of achievers found purpose and meaning through their leadership, service, and commitment to each other and our wider community.
The 2024 results were exceptional, and I would like to commend all students, staff, parents, and members within our community who have contributed to these individual success stories.
I also want to recognise the increasing number of young people who have graduated from our community having completed VET courses. For these equally valued Year 12 students, success comes in many forms, including work placements, apprenticeships, and further study. Each student’s achievement deserves to be celebrated. We are proud of everyone for their academic accomplishments and their wonderful contributions to school life at Endeavour.
If you wish to view the High Achievers Assembly, you can do so here.
Continuing our pursuit for excellence, I am delighted to announce that we will welcome a new Business Manager, Tim Grandy to the College from March 10 onwards.
Mr Grandy comes to Endeavour as a seasoned finance professional with more than 20 years of experience in education, including 12 years as a School Business Manager and eight within the Lutheran system in Queensland.
A CPA Australia Fellow, Tim brings expertise in financial strategy, infrastructure development, and ICT innovation to support quality education and sustainable school growth.
Most recently serving as Business Manager at Oakleigh Grammar, Tim’s executive leadership saw his school’s expansion through a 20-year master plan with award-winning architects.
Key achievements include developing a high-performing services team, overseeing the construction of the Centre for Academic Excellence (opened in 2023), and securing funding for campus rejuvenation projects.
Previously, as Business Manager and Company Secretary at Prince of Peace Lutheran College, Tim strengthened financial sustainability through significant transformation, including the establishment of a senior campus, with his experience extending to senior finance roles at FSAC Ltd, overseeing five campuses and two kindergartens as well as his association with Think Education as State Finance Manager for Queensland.
We look forward to welcoming Tim to the Endeavour College community next month.
