Year 4/5

A highlight of the 4/5s over the past few weeks has been our robotics incursions. Students were able to learn to control a Sphero SPRK+ robot on Mars. They worked in small groups to analyse a problem, design a solution and evaluate their success. Students collaborated to code their planned survey mission where they needed to consider co-ordinates, angles and bearings, before deploying their robot.  Lots of groups had success with their coding skills and were begging to have a Sphero of their own!

To support our E-Safety skills students participated in an Empower online event to promote being safe online. They focused on online rights and responsibilities and how the law can help keep us safe. We also explored how positive online experiences can support our digital wellbeing.
