ART

Foundation
Now well and truly primary school students, the Preps continue to create fun and vibrant paper artworks. They have continued to focus on strengthening their fine motor skills through tearing and gluing. Some of their beautiful pieces are up in the Office so please take the time to have a look.
Year 1s
The Year 1s have been meticulously tearing small pieces of paper to create their bright paper artworks over the last few weeks. Using their creativity they have produced some eye-catching paper collages. Be sure to check them out in the Office.
2/3s
The Year 2/3s have been focusing on the colour theory through their exploration with paint. They have been creating paintings with primary colours and developing their own tints as well as experimenting with white and black backgrounds. Be sure to check them out in the Office.
4/5s and 6s
The 4/5s and 6s have been developing their understanding of line and the importance it plays in artworks. They have focused on responding to multiple art pieces and the impact line has on evoking emotions, as well as how varied line can be. Each class has been provided with the opportunity to develop a continuous line artwork through a planning process, resulting in a final piece. Hopefully they will be up on display soon.
