Year 1

Year 1 has started the year by showcasing their creativity! The students in each class have been creating turtles using a variety of styles. Look at some of their beautiful works of art!

Each class has been exploring numbers in Mathematics lessons and this week we've been paying close attention to even and odd numbers. Some students have found this a bit tricky, but we're committed to supporting those who require some assistance and extending those who are seeking a challenge.

We've all enjoyed a cracking start to the year!

In  the Science unit, Living Things, Year 1 students have been looking at insects and minibeasts that we find in our gardens and the playground. A close up look through the magnifying glass helped us identify the features of butterflies, flies , bees and wasps among other amazing creatures.
