Principal's Message

Dear St Joseph’s Families,

Celebrating Catholic Schools Week

This week, schools across the Armidale Catholic Schools system are celebrating Catholic Schools Week. This year’s beautiful and inspiring theme is "A Hope-Filled Future."

There are many exciting events happening across the Armidale Diocese to mark this special week. As part of these celebrations, our Year 6 Captains and Vice Captains will be traveling to Moree this Thursday to attend the Moree Deanery Catholic Schools Week Mass. We know they will represent our school beautifully alongside student leaders from across the region.

Do you have a child ready for Kindergarten next year? Or know someone who does?  We are currently accepting enrolments for Kindergarten 2027. All enrolment applications are now online on our school website.

Diocesan Cross Country Success

A huge congratulations to all of our students who traveled and competed in the Diocesan Cross Country Carnival last Friday. You represented our school with immense pride, determination, and wonderful sportsmanship.

A special shout-out and congratulations goes to Jessica T, who placed third in the Girls 11 Years event! This is an incredible achievement. Jess will now move on to represent the diocese at the upcoming Polding Cross Country Carnival. We wish her the absolute best of luck!

Staffing Updates

We've recently welcomed 4 new staff members to our school; Mrs Erin McGrath - Canteen Manager, Ms Laura Gordon - Stage 3, Ms Tina Deng - Stage 1 and Ms Orlagh Barry - Casual.

We have a few staffing changes to share as we wish Mrs Logan a wonderful, relaxing, and well-deserved Long Service Leave.

  • Acting REC: We warmly welcome Mrs Newton into the role of Acting Religious Education Coordinator (REC) while Mrs Logan is away. We extend our sincere appreciation to Mrs Newton for stepping into this role and leading our faith community during this time.
  • Kindergarten: We are very fortunate to have Mrs Holcombe teaching our Kindergarten class during Mrs Logan's absence. Welcome to Kindergarten, Mrs Holcombe!

Important Notice: School Fees

School fees are a vital part of our school funds, allowing us to continue providing excellent resources, programs, and facilities for all of our students.

Please note that fee reminder letters have recently been sent out automatically through Compass. If your account is currently overdue, or if you would like to confidentially discuss setting up a payment plan, we kindly ask that you make an appointment to speak with Mrs Leonie Price or Mrs Fiechtner.

Thank you to all our families for your ongoing support and cooperation.
