From the Principal's Desk

Week 10

That's a wrap!!

I feel blessed to end the year as the real Principal now and to mark the end of the school year, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on the journey we have all shared over the past months.  It has been a year full of learning, growth, opportunities and achievements.

Recognising Our Students

First and foremost, I want to celebrate our students.  This year, you have demonstrated not only academic growth but also resilience, creativity, and leadership.  Many of you have achieved outstanding results in your classrooms, setting personal goals and achieving them, just as PAX Leaders do.  Beyond the classroom, I have been inspired by your participation in extracurricular activities.

Whether it was in the arts, with CAPERS, our ACOS productions, eisteddfod items and musical performances, Davinci Decathlon, Spelling Bee, Multicultural speaking, on the sporting fields competing at school, zone, regional and state levels, or contributing to community service and leadership initiatives, each of you has brought energy, commitment, and enthusiasm to 2025.

Your efforts have reinforced the spirit of teamwork, respect, and perseverance that defines our school community.

Good luck Year 6

Thank you Year 6.  Whether you were at our school for a long or short time we have loved every (nearly) minute.  You are an outstanding group of leaders and we wish you all the best as you head to high school.

Appreciating Our Staff

To our dedicated teachers and support staff, thank you for your unwavering commitment to our students and to educational excellence.  Your passion for teaching, creativity in the classroom, and commitment to supporting every student’s individual learning needs have been crucial in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.  You go above and beyond to integrate new learning styles, provide mentorship, and adapt to changes with flexibility and professionalism.  Your role extends far beyond teaching content; you inspire, guide, and empower our young people on their journeys toward their future goals. You truly are the Dream Team.

Gratefulness to Parents and Carers

Parents and carers, your support and partnership has been vital to our school’s success this year.  Whether through attending parent–teacher meetings, volunteering at school events, supporting your child, or encouraging your children to develop their interests and skills, your involvement enriches the school experience for everyone.  Our collaborative approach ensures a strong foundation for our students’ success and well-being at Martin's Gully.  So thank you.

To our P & C - Thank you to Phoebe and her small army who give their time to run events throughout the year, making mother' s day and father’s day very easy on us all. We appreciate all the support you give to us and our students.

A big thank you also to Pearl Perch for partnering up to offer us a weekly canteen option.

As the holidays approach, I encourage every one of you, students, staff, and families to take the time to rest and reflect.  Use this time to explore new interests, spend quality moments with family, and return refreshed and ready for the new challenges and opportunities 2026 will bring.  I’m excited!!

Again I want to thank each of you for contributing to a successful and fulfilling year.  It is our culture of family and collective spirit that makes our school truly special.
