Growing Together: A Partnership Success Story!

This year, a student commenced at our school in Term 2 with very limited English language skills. From the very first day, his parents and teacher worked closely together, setting individual goals and using shared strategies to support his learning. In Term 3, they strengthened this plan by enrolling him in EAL sessions while continuing the work they had already started.

Now, in Term 4, his progress has been remarkable. He has progressed from not being able to recognise letters to confidently using digraphs, blending sounds, reading new words, and writing with pride. His success is a wonderful reminder of what can be achieved when families and schools work together.
