Support with book lists
If any families suspect they may have difficulty purchasing some book list items, can they please make contact with Jess McGurk PRIOR to submitting book lists. It is unlikely that we can provide financial assistance for whole book lists, however we may be able to assist with some items (depending on the year level and what is actually required).
There are a few avenues that can be explored; however, we are unable to reimburse people for items that have been already paid for, or ordered, which is why it is really important that you reach out BEFORE finalising/submitting your book list this year. If it is left to next year, there could be some delay in accessing items.
16 Days of Activism
Next Tuesday 9th of December, Year 7-10 students will be participating in a 30-minute interactive session to promote and spread awareness for the 16 Days of Activism campaign. The session explores the importance of preventing gender-based violence and supporting one another, delivered in an engaging, age-appropriate, and inclusive way.
If this may raise any concerns for any students or families, please don’t hesitate to make contact with Jess McGurk.

Social media changes are coming
From 10 December 2025, certain social media platforms won’t be allowed to let Australian children under 16 create or keep an account.
What you need to know:
The age restrictions are likely to apply to Facebook, Instagram, Kick, Reddit, Snapchat, Threads, TikTok, X and YouTube, as well as other platforms. See the latest list.
Most online gaming and standalone messaging apps are among the types of services that will not be included.
Children under 16 will still be able to see publicly available social media content that doesn’t require logging into an account.
Find out more at social media age restrictions for families. If you can't join our free webinar, we're also developing video guides for parents and carers about the upcoming social media changes for under 16s.
