Year -1/2 Unit

It is hard to believe we are drawing to an end of the Year 1/2 year. The energy is both becoming extra excited as we draw closer to the end of the year – but also slightly depleted as we finish what has been a long term. Students are to be congratulated on all their efforts and positive attitudes during a busy term.
Students are currently completing their dinosaurs and have been considering what makes their dinosaur the best. What adaptions are unique and how this will help them to survive. They look forward to introducing them to you soon!!
We have been busy measuring – both capacity and mass, and it has been a wild and messy (but very fun!) exploration of a variety of hands-on materials.
Students are finishing their hybrid-persuasive writing - where they have been exploring made up characters and settings and choosing scenarios where they need to convince someone to do/think/act a certain way. We have enjoyed being entertained and deciding whether we would be swayed by some VERY convincing arguments!
We look forward to enjoying the last, very special few weeks with your children as we wrap up the year and can finally start to move into Christmas/holiday activities and festivities!!
