Grade 2 News

In Maths, our Grade 2 students have been exploring place value. Using M.A.B. blocks and iPad apps, students have been building and representing three-digit numbers to show how hundreds, tens and ones work together.

They have also been practising renaming numbers by trading pieces of M.A.B. — for example, trading 10 ones for a ten or trading 10 tens for a hundred.

It’s been wonderful to see students confidently explaining their thinking and making clear connections between hands-on materials, digital tools and written numbers!
