Grade 3 News

What's been happening

Last week, our Grade 3s learnt an exciting new maths game called Number Swiper

Using number lines and pegs, students “swiped” along to find the mystery number by asking clever questions and using number clues.

The crew in 3C took it up a notch—challenging each other to see who could crack the code in the fewest moves! What a fantastic way to build number sense and have some fun along the way!

Aquatic Adventures - Wednesday 29th October

We had so much fun at swimming this week.

We went in the wave pool; we had so much fun in the waves and loved going in the deep end.

We learnt how to use life jackets and jump into the pool.

We learnt how to do CPR on dummies, it was interesting to learn about how to save someone from drowning.

We had a turn at doing compressions on the dummy, it was hard to push the chest down. We sang Baby shark to stay in rhythm.

We threw ‘sinkies’ into the water and had to dive down to the bottom to retrieve them, it was so much fun.

We also played volleyball in the water, that was so much fun!

We ran around the edge of the pool to make a whirlpool then we lifted our feet up and the water pulled us around in a circle.

As told by 3D.
