End of Year Transitions

As we approach the end of Term 4, our priority is to ensure that every child experiences a smooth, supported, and safe transition into their 2026 learning environment. Transitions can bring both excitement and uncertainty, so we take deliberate steps to make this period predictable, organised, and centred on student wellbeing.

Teachers are currently preparing comprehensive transition handover notes so that next year’s staff have a clear, accurate understanding of each student’s strengths, learning needs, and support considerations. This aligns with the Victorian Child Safe Standards, particularly those focused on empowering children, supporting diverse needs, and ensuring continuity of care. These processes help set students up for a positive start and ensure that every child is known before they walk through the door in 2026.

As classes are finalised and preparations begin for the new year, we remain committed to maintaining clear communication, strong supervision, and safe routines across all end-of-year activities. Our aim is for every student to move confidently into 2026 feeling prepared, settled, and supported. Thank you for your partnership in helping us uphold a strong culture of safety and wellbeing for all children.

best wishes,
