3/4 CLASSROOM

We hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend, what a great opportunity to relax and unwind. 

This fortnight coming the grade 3/4 students are heading off to camp; there has been a buzz about the classroom with questions of curiosity and excitement. Mrs Cummins, Mrs Brook and Laura will be the staff attending, Mr Ryan will also spend some time with us while we are there. 

During maths this fortnight we have been looking at location and three dimensional objects. We have had some fun looking at different views and perspectives such as birds eye view and street view. Mrs Cummins got the Lego out so the class could create these different perspectives. 

In English we are getting close to finishing our unit of persuasive writing with the book focus 'The One and Only Ivan'. This book has highlighted the theme of animal rights; we are now in the middle of creating a persuasive writing piece addressed to the minister of agriculture sharing our views of the topic in a formal way. Following on from this unit we will be looking at creating information reports.
