F/1/2 CLASSROOM

Inquiry – Earth and Space Science

In the F/1/2 classroom, we have been exploring Earth and Space Science. Students have been developing their observation skills as they investigate the changes that occur in our environment across different weather patterns and seasons. Together, we’ve discussed how people and animals adapt to these changes and the ways in which the weather influences daily life.

Our learning has now shifted to exploring the changes that occur over a single day, particularly the differences between day and night. Students are showing wonderful curiosity and enthusiasm, producing some truly creative and insightful work as they deepen their understanding of the world around them.

Religious Education

In Religious Education, students have been learning about the special things God has created and reflecting on how each of these gifts was created for us to care for and enjoy. This led to rich discussions about the special people in our lives and the ways in which we ourselves are special to others.

Students then created beautiful timelines of their own lives—from babyhood to toddler years, to now, and then imagining what they might be like as teenagers, adults, and even older people. This was a thoughtful and heart-warming activity, and students are very proud of their work, which will be featured in their portfolio collection later this term.

Special Persons & Grandparents Day Liturgy

What a truly wonderful celebration we shared for Special Persons and Grandparents Day! We were blessed with a fantastic turnout for afternoon tea, classroom visits, and our special Liturgy at the church. The F/1/2 students shone as readers and hosts, welcoming their guests with confidence, warmth, and pride.

A heartfelt thank you to all parents, grandparents, and special people who joined us for this memorable occasion. Your presence meant so much to the children and made the day a celebration of love, faith, and community.
