Graduation and Prize Day

The time has arrived, and we are excited to celebrate the Class of 2025 as they graduate tomorrow. We look forward to welcoming parents, families, and guests of our Year 12 students, as well as those attending to support students from other years receiving awards. The ceremony will begin promptly at 11:00 am, with guests asked to be seated by 10:50 am. It's wonderful to celebrate our students’ achievements, and we look forward to sharing this occasion with everyone.

Dinninup Show

This week, I was fortunate to travel to the Dinninup Show with the Year 10s and watch them compete in a range of judging events. Although the Dinninup Show is small, it provides our students with an excellent introduction to judging, with the winners going on to compete in the state finals at the Perth Royal Show.

I am always impressed when our students put themselves forward in competitions, particularly those who have never judged before. The final stages of the judging events require students to speak on a microphone in front of a crowd, which really takes them out of their comfort zone. All students performed well and should be proud of themselves, as we certainly are of them. Thank you to the staff involved in the training, planning, and attendance at the show.

We also took three Year 11 students to Dinninup to compete in the Novice Shearing competition. As with the judging events, our shearers had to perform in unfamiliar surroundings and in front of a crowd, making it a great experience for them. Thank you to Steve Adams for his training and support of the boys in the lead-up to and during the show.

Exams

Some of our Year 12s are sitting their final ATAR Maths exam today. Once done, they will be able to breathe a sigh of relief that they are finally done. Best of luck to them.

Survey

This week, I sent our Year 11 families a link to a survey to gather feedback about the College. Year 11 students will also be completing their own survey. If you haven’t already, please take about 15 minutes to share your thoughts with us. As of Wednesday, we’ve received 20 responses out of a possible 63 families.
