Principal's Report

It’s hard to believe how quickly this term is flying by! With the Cup Day long weekend, it’s been a shorter fortnight, and we hope all of our ACPS families enjoyed the extra time together. While students enjoyed a well-earned Monday break, our teachers were busy reviewing student learning data and preparing end-of-year reports. This important process allows staff to reflect on each child’s growth, celebrate their achievements, and plan for continued progress as the year comes to a close.

2026 Planning Underway

We are well underway with planning for 2026. Over the past few weeks, we’ve welcomed our newest students through our Prep 2026 Transition Program. It’s been wonderful to see so many excited faces exploring classrooms, meeting teachers, and beginning their journey as part of the ACPS community. Their enthusiasm and confidence have been a delight to see, and it’s hard to believe how much our current Prep students have grown since starting school in February. In fact it is hard to believe how much all of our student have grown since the start of the year.

Class planning and teacher allocations for 2026 are nearing completion, and we look forward to our Step Up Day on Monday 9 December, when students will spend time in their new 2026 classrooms with their teachers and peers. Our incoming 2026 Preps will also join us on this day for their final transition session. Meanwhile, our Grade 6 students are preparing for their own exciting next steps, with secondary school transition days and orientations having commenced already or beginning over the coming weeks.

2026 Curriculum Contributions

At Andersons Creek Primary School, we are committed to providing high-quality, engaging, and inclusive educational programs that extend and enrich every learner. Each year, the school relies on the Parent Payment contributions to continue offering the great learning environment and programs for our students.

A News Feed regarding 2026 Parent Payments and Book Packs has been sent to families via Compass. These contributions directly support the programs and resources that make ACPS such a dynamic and well-resourced school environment.

To make your contribution, please visit the Compass Newsfeed and follow the information provided. We sincerely appreciate your ongoing support — it plays a vital role in maintaining the vibrant learning experiences and high-quality programs that benefit every student at ACPS.

Save the Date – End of Year Events

As we head into the final stretch of the year, we have some wonderful community celebrations ahead:

ACPS Christmas Carols – Thursday 4 December, 6:00pm

Join us in the Theatre for our special Christmas Concert, followed by picnics, music, and a special visit from CFA Santa on the oval.

Presentation Assembly – Friday 12 December, 2:00–3:15pm

Held in the Theatre, this special assembly will feature student performances, the presentation of awards, and the announcement of our 2026 School and House Captains.

We look forward to celebrating these occasions together as a school community and ending the year on a high.

Remembrance Day

On Tuesday 11 November, our school paused to commemorate Remembrance Day. It was a moment of respect, gratitude, and shared reflection that highlighted the strong values of empathy and remembrance in our community.
