Harlow H had a great day and ran a beautiful race.  Despite a shakey start kept up with the pack.  Placed 16th of 17 girls. Being the only U9 in the event is an incrdible effort.

Well done Harlow.

SOCIAL JUSTICE CONFERENCE MORWELL

On the 30th of October the Social Justice Team of our school went to the  Minnie Vinnies Conference in Morwell. We were accompanied by two of our teachers, Mrs Hamilton and Ms Hughes. The drive to Morwell took about an hour and when we arrived, we got a goodie bag filled with a book, some stationery and pencils. There were 4 other school’s social justice groups with us. We all shared a presentation in front of the group that we had made about what we had done throughout the year. It was inspiring to see how much the other schools had done and what they put their money towards.

We all had lunch together and talked and learned more about the students from other schools. At the end of the day we got to do an activity with them which was so much fun and intriguing. Unfortunately we had to leave early because of the long distance, so we got presented by an award given by the Mini Vinnie group to our team and left to leave for our school.

On the drive back we were all talking about how much of an opportunity it had been to meet and see other people's work and be inspired to do more. We all had so much fun and can’t wait to see what more we could do.

JUNIOR CAMP NIGHT

On the 6th of November it was Junior Camp Day! When the bell went for the end of the day everyone went home except for Foundation, Ones and Twos. We went outside for free play.  Everyone was called over for our next activity.  First we played scarecrow tiggy and toilet tiggy.  The teachers said we could do some chalk drawings on the concrete. Our next activity was a scavenger hunt.  We finished our scavenger hunt and were about to start our sandcastle competition when...we were called over for dinner.  We had sausages in bread for dinner.  They were delicious.  After dinner we had icypoles.  Then we went back inside to start our movie.  Mrs Scrimshaw got us some popcorn and we decided to watch "Luca."  After the movie we went outside to wait for our parents. Mrs Sherriff brought out the chalk to keep us satisfied.  All our parents arrived so we could all go home.  I had a great time! - Madi

Last night we did chalk drawings at our camp experience and we ate sausages for dinner and an icypole for dessert.  We played on the big kids play ground. - Eleanor

Yesterday we watched a movie and had popcorn.  We also did a scavenger hunt and my partner was Ava. We found everything on the list. - Colt

Last night at camp experience I had fruit and biscuits after school then we had a little play. We had a sausage sizzle. After we had icypoles and I got lime flavour.  It was really yummy.  We went inside the library and we watched "Luca" and also ate popcorn.  We got to play at the senior playground.  It was really fun.  It was the best camp experience. - Kristopher
