Farewell Class of 2025 – Celebration Week Highlights
The final week for our Class of 2025 was one to remember — filled with laughter, memories, and heartfelt moments that reflected the strong sense of belonging our students have for their college community.
The week began with a fun Dress-Up Day, where students and staff stepped back in time and brought their childhood movie characters to life. The campus was alive with colour, creativity, and nostalgia, from superheroes to animated classics.
Midweek, the excitement continued with the much-anticipated Teachers vs. Students Basketball Game. The competition was fierce yet friendly, with cheers echoing through the stands. Adding a special touch to the event, we were honoured to welcome back two old scholars, who joined in the celebration and shared their fond memories of their own farewell years.
The week concluded on a high note with the Final Assembly — a truly moving occasion. Student representatives delivered touching speeches reflecting on their journeys, friendships, and growth throughout their years at the College. Teachers offered words of wisdom, encouragement, and pride in seeing their students step confidently into the next chapter of their lives.
A highlight of the assembly was an inspiring message from Pastor Peter, who spoke on “Faith Over Fear.” His words reminded everyone to trust their purpose and face the future with courage and hope.
The celebration ended with the traditional Guard of Honour, an emotional moment as parents, teachers, and fellow students lined the pathway to applaud the graduating class. Many tears were shed and smiles shared as the Class of 2025 took their final walk — a powerful symbol of unity, pride, and gratitude.
As the week came to a close, it was clear that the Farewell Celebration was more than just a goodbye — it was a heartfelt tribute to the shared experiences, lasting friendships, and deep sense of community that define our Emmaus Christian College family.
Congratulations, Class of 2025 — your outstanding impact among your colleagues and towards the whole Emmaus community will continue to inspire! 🎉
One College – Mentoring and connecting with those around us
Over the past week, our College community has embraced the spirit of connection through two special mentoring events. On Monday, our Year 9 and Year 6 Connection Day at both South Plympton and Brooklyn Park campuses brought students together for a variety of engaging “get to know you” games and outdoor teamwork activities designed to build trust and collaboration. The day concluded with a shared sausage sizzle lunch, allowing students to further strengthen new friendships. The laughter and teamwork reflected a genuine excitement for the journey ahead, as our Year 6 students prepare to join the Secondary community and begin forming meaningful relationships with their future mentors.
On Wednesday that week, our Year 10 and Year 7 Mentoring was launched. From English games, cooking, scrapbooking, teamwork challenges, and the mentor walk, the day offered countless opportunities for conversation and growth. These shared experiences marked the beginning of mentorships that will nurture confidence, friendship, and faith in the future.
We continue to pray for what this space brings in the future for all of our students involved.

Director of 9-10
Year 7 Gorge Wildlife Park Excursion🐨
Our Year 7 students enjoyed engaging excursions to Gorge Wildlife Park on Wednesday and Thursday last week as part of their Science studies on animal classification. The visits provided hands-on opportunities for our students to explore how animals are grouped based on their observable physical features and characteristics.
Students observed a wide variety of native and exotic species, deepening their understanding of vertebrate and invertebrate groups while developing an appreciation for Australia’s unique biodiversity. It was a fun and educational day that brought their classroom learning to life! Thank you to all the staff who supported them during these days.

Director of Year 7-8
