LivCare

In Livcare we have continued to make new connections between our 3 and 4 year old sessional groups. The children are developing different ways of listening to others' ideas and having an understanding of respecting their peers in play. 

Due to the shorter days during Winter the children have observed how it gets darker earlier and this has led to activities related with "light"(torches, candles and globes). 

Some of our group games include:

• "the floor is lava"
• "Parachute game"
• "Musical Statues"
• "Musical Mats"(musical chairs)
• Musical instruments - beats
• The Colour Game

Relaxation is a focal point for the longer Livcare sessions as it is a chance for the children to reset their min and bodies. We will have opportunities to explore stories/music from the Indigenous communities, as well as introduce different genres of music. We have enjoyed listening to sound walks which explores different parts of Australia (desert, rainforest etc.).

On our shorter Livcare sessions following a longer kinder session the children participate in small group activities that are usually quieter.

• Mindfulness colouring
• Sensory experiences
• Art and craft
• Construction
• Listening Stories
• Small group games

The children have built secure attachments with all of the Livcare Educators which helps with a smooth transition into Livcare.
