Boarding News

Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

Welcome to Term 3!

We cannot wait to welcome back all boarders on Monday and hear about their time with family and travels over the break. We will open the Boarding House from 8:00am with all students expected to be in-house by 4:00pm.

We are excited to welcome three boarders for Term 3, Angela in Year 6, Nora in Year 10, and Tolleen who is rejoining us in Year 9. We also welcome new staff member Ellie Harpe - Residential Boarding Assistant to our Boarding Team. Ms Ellie is studying for her Master of Teaching and will be working the morning shift and Saturday evening shift.

Ms M will be attending her son’s wedding in the UK for the first two and a half weeks of term, and we thank Ms (Kim) Holman who will be taking care of our Year 5 to 9 students in Ms M’s absence.

During the holiday break, I visited families in Central Queensland with our Director of Marketing, Communications and Engagement, Ms Emma Dixon. Thank you to our families who joined us for the events while we visited your area, it is always enjoyable to see our boarders in their hometowns.

I will be chaperoning the Cambridge Scholars’ Programme to the UK during weeks 3 and 4 of this term. Although there is a significant time difference, I am fully contactable while away and know our dedicated staff will continue to support you and our boarders in my absence.

As per the school’s Uniform Policy, please ensure your child returns to boardingschool ready’ with no fake tanning, no acrylic nails, no false eyelashes, one natural coloured hair and only one piercing in each ear lobe.

Warm regards,

Kathryn Searle
