Principal's Report

 - Tania Sorbello

It has been another great, but busy week here at FNPS. Our teachers are currently hard at work finalising assessment and preparing reports for distribution at the end of term. These reports provide families with an opportunity to see their child(ren)’s progress against the Victorian Curriculum. Early next term our Family-Teacher conferences will be held, which will provide parents with an update on their child(ren)’s learning progress and their current learning goals.

The building project continues at the northern end of the building, and you will see the exterior landscape manifesting before our eyes over the next week. To facilitate the pouring of the new asphalt outside the Hall, the Fergie Street gate will remain fenced off next week.

Animals on School Grounds

A reminder that animals other than service animals are not permitted inside the school gates. We have recently noticed an increase in the number of pets being brought into the school grounds and ask that, due to the number of children we have out in the yard, that animals are kept outside the gates during drop-off and pick-up.

Bikes, Scooters, Skateboards etc.

Also a reminder that once inside the school gates, children and adults are required to dismount off their bikes, scooters etc and walk them to the storage areas. Drop-off and pick-up are very busy time with a large number of students and their families out in the yard and it is important that we maintain a safe an orderly environment to protect the safety of our community.

2025 Prep Enrolments

Do you or someone you know have a child starting school in 2025? We are now accepting enrolments for next year, with school tours being held fortnightly on Tuesday mornings at 9:30am. Enrolments for 2025 close on 26 July 2024 so, if you or someone you know will be applying at FNPS, please ensure forms are submitted before this date.

Additionally, prospective families are invited to join us on Wednesday 17th July, 2024 at 6:00pm for our Prep 2025 Information Evening. The evening will provide families with information about our school, our curriculum, our community and the 2025 enrolment process.

Go gently,

Tania
