Parent Helpers

Thank you, once again, to the wonderful parents who continue to come in to support with reading in the Prep space. We appreciate the time that parents and grandparents are able to give to listen to children read. 

If you are interested in helping with reading at Trinity, at any year level, please make sure your Working With Children Check is up to date and come and have a chat with your child's teacher or myself. 

GATEWAYS Program

Last week, two of our Year 3 students, Isabelle and William, attended the GATEWAYS Language and Literature Learning Program at St Charles Borromeo in Templestowe. They are keen to share their experience and are busily writing a piece which we will share in next week's newsletter.

Literacy Learning in Year 1/2DG

Our little learners in 1/2DG are learning about letters and sounds during their phonics lesson using the Little Learners Love Literacy program. Mr Gahan has explicitly taught the sound 'le', the students engage in chants which focus on repitition of sounds and words and they are using their whiteboards to write sentences using the 'le' digraph. 

Here you can see they are focussed on their learning, working independently, as Mr Gahan works with individual students at their point of need.

Semester 1 Reports & Student Led Conversations

We look forward to sharing the students' achievements with you at the Student Led Conversations which will be held next week in Week 10 on Wednesday 19th June and in their School Reports which will be emailed home on Monday 17th June. This is an opportunity to celebrate your child's achievements from across this semester.
