Science is a fascinating subject and commences with laboratory safety in Year 7, and continues with biology, the environment, physics, earth and space to name just a few of the areas that are studied. Mihika Patel in Year 9 shares a science experience with us: “I’ve been really enjoying our science fair project about Microbiology. In our experiment we’ll be getting to grow our own samples of bacteria, and testing on how they react to different disinfectants. We’ve recently been growing bacteria samples and will be recording our findings on how they respond to different disinfectants. It’s honestly been so interesting; I can’t wait to see what happens next!”
We have really enjoyed welcoming families at the recent College tours. There are more opportunities in July as well as the Information Morning in August where you can come along and see the fantastic facilities that we have here at Emmanuel. Year 7 2026 Applications
A friendly reminder that if you have a child in Grade 5, applications for Year 7 2026 close on Friday 16 August 2024. Even if you have a child already attending or that may be joining us in Year 7 2025, it is a requirement for an application to be submitted for Year 7 2026.
A prospectus can be requested by joining us at Information Morning on 10 August, emailing our college Registrar: enrolments@ecmelb.catholic.edu.au or come into either Campus office and see one of our friendly reception staff.

Students wishing to attend Mount St. Joseph Girls’ College for Year 7 in 2026 should apply in Grade 5 of their primary school education.
Applications for Year 7 in 2026 are now open. Apply online via the College website. The closing date for applications is Friday 16 August 2024.
There is no application closing date for years 8-12. Vacancies are based on availability and waiting lists may apply.
