Coding Club:

That's a Wrap for Term 2

With the end of term drawing to a close, we have our final week of Coding Club!

It has been super encouraging to see how many students across Years 3-6 have been so interested in our lunch time sessions and wanting to improve their coding abilities. From making games to mini animations, there has been something for everyone.

Stay tuned for what digital tech is to come in the second half of the year!

Overview of Digital Technology across the Year Levels

Prep

The Prep Community children have been using their Digital Tech sessions to practise representing data online. They have also looked at using our technology in a safe and responsible manner.

Year 1/2

Students in the Year 1/2  Community have been exploring Digital Systems. They have been looking at what makes up inputs and outputs and how we use them.

Year 3/4

In the Year 3/4 Community has been learning about the Digital Systems and their inputs and outputs, engaging in unplugged activities to practise following algorithms and producing mini online Scratch projects.

Year 5/6

In the Year 5/6 Community, students have been learning all about Binary Coding. They have been undertaking some unplugged activities and using online programs to help solidify their skills. They will continue to look at this more closely moving into Term 3. They have also looked at Digital Safety and how we communicate appropriately online.
