Risk assessments are an important part of planning all excursions and offsite activities. They help us think ahead, identify possible hazards, and put in place steps to keep students, staff, and volunteers safe.
The Department of Education requires schools to complete risk assessments for every excursion. This ensures we meet our duty of care, follow OHS guidelines, and are ready to respond if circumstances change. By completing these assessments, we not only meet compliance requirements but also strengthen our school’s safety culture and support positive, safe learning experiences for our students.
