Kindness Rocks for R U OK? Day
Wellbeing News
Last week, the Inclusion Action Team hosted two sessions of Kindness Rocks to celebrate R U OK? Day!
Students from across the school were invited to pop into the art room at recess and lunch to paint a rock with a positive, uplifting message while having a chat. These special “kindness rocks” will be placed in our new L’area degli Amici space, creating a colourful reminder to look out for one another and spread kindness every day.
Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make our school a little brighter!
AMICI INSIEME
This term, our Amici Insieme leaders have done an incredible job fostering connection and belonging across the school. Each Monday, students have come together in their Amici Insieme groups to build friendships, learn about bullying and how to stand up to it, and take part in fun, inclusive activities.
It has been wonderful to see students getting to know each other beyond their year level, forming new friendships, and creating supportive networks. These positive connections help make our school a safer, kinder, and more welcoming place for everyone.
Thank you to our leaders for guiding their groups with such care and enthusiasm, and to all students for the way you have embraced this program!

Week 9: Citrus icy pole making
As part of our food unit, the Junior School students deepened their connection with food by using seasonal produce to make their very own citrus icy-pole! Each student selected their preferred flavour, juiced fresh lemons and oranges, and carefully measured ingredients using tools such as teaspoons, tablespoons, jugs, and cups. After one long (and eagerly awaited!) night, the icy poles were successfully frozen and then eaten. A key focus of the unit has been developing students’ awareness of their senses as they make and eat different foods. The icy-poles provided a perfect opportunity for this exploration with the students describing different sensory experiences as they made and ate their icy poles.
