School Mass

Our last mass for the term was today, led by the amazing young people in stage 3. Many thanks to Mrs Anderson and Mrs Wilson for their support in organising this mass; it's a big job!

The prayers of the faithful used in mass were written by the students. Having just completed a five-week unit about Mary, they were able to display their understandings of the specific charactersistics of Mary that makes her a model of faith in the Catholic religion.

3.  For the bishop and priests in our diocese, that they continue to be pure in heart, just as Mary was.  Let us pray to the Lord.

Response: Lord hear our prayer

4.  For all people in the world, that they will be treated with respect and kindness  Let us pray to the Lord. Response: Lord hear our prayer

5.  For people who are struggling, that they will be treated with justice so they have a better life. Let us pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to the Lord. Response: Lord hear our prayer

7. For those who are sick, that they receive kind and caring behaviour from others. Let us pray to the Lord

Staff Twilight Prayer

Each term staff at school are provided with faith formation opportunities. We are lucky to have access to the Renewal team from Armidale Catholic Schools office who provide these opportunities right throughout the Diocese. Thank you to Mrs Di Brown and Mrs Anne Finlayson for leading us through our prayer last Wednesday, focusing on the word Hope and the Emmaus story with a focus on the Jubilee year. It is also a wonderful opportunity for parishioners and staff to join together.

Healthy Relationships

We were thrilled to welcome Mr Ryan Witherden to St Joseph's this week to begin the Healthy Relationships program with our Stage 3 students. All students are participating in this program as part of our Diocesan-wide Live Well Learn Well policy. We look forward to being able to arm out students with these curcial life long skills to help ensure they have a hope-filled future.

Father's Day stall

A massive shout out goes to the legendary Mrs White and her sidekicks Preston and Makenna for planning, setting up and manning the Father's Day stall. We appreciate you!

We hope all Dads, Grandads and special people in the lives of our young ones had a wonderful Father's Day.
