Hello from our teachers and students

Respect, Responsibility and Kindness

Writing

This term the students in Grade 5/6 Condon/Perley have been busy wriitng narratives, creating adverts, producing discussion pieces and working on biographies. When focusing on adverstising students were asked to create a hand drawn ad for a new product. They had to think about how they would seel thier product and what persuasive devices they could use to appeal to an audience. Here are some of our creations below.

Mathematics

Each day we start off our mathematics lesson with a daily review. Students use a small whiteboard to write down their responses and to show their thinking. We are all improving with our undetsatinding of the basic concepts needed at the Grade 5/6 level and are working hard to be involved and do our best. Here we are answering some of the questions and an example of a daily review.

Reading

Book Week dress up day was a real highlight this term. Every student in the grade got involved and the costumes were outstanding. We had characters from a range of different books including Lord of the Rings, Mrs Peregines's Home for Perculiar Children and The Lorax.

Term 3 Reflection

As our busy term comes to an end some of us have reflected on our school experience.

Nyah: I have had a great time in mathematics.

Douglas: I enjoyed building the tent city for the Bendigo gold rush in Minecraft.

George: Australian history related building tasks in Minecraft.
