Middle Years ~ 3/4 News

Our Year 3/4 students recently returned from camp full of stories, smiles, and special memories! Over two action-packed days, students embraced the joy of the mountains, the beauty of the outdoors, and the adventure of learning together in nature.

From the giant swing, flying fox, gaga pits and team challenges to the evening campfire, walk and laughter with friends, there was a real sense of connection, with each other, with the natural world, and with God’s creation. It was wonderful to see students building resilience, trying new things, and celebrating the fun that comes from being together in such a beautiful setting.

A huge thank you to our staff who made this experience enjoyable, and to our students for the energy, enthusiasm, and joy they brought to camp!

Upper Years ~ 5/6 News! ~ St. Mel's Annual ~ Year 6 Students vs Staff Netball Game

What an incredible day we had for our Supporters Day, capped off by the much-anticipated Staff vs. Year 6 Students Netball Game! The school was alive with colour as students arrived proudly sporting their favourite team jerseys and colours, and the smiles on their faces lit up the entire day.

Our Year 6 students brought energy, determination, and a wonderful spirit of teamwork as they prepared to take on the staff and what a game it was! It was heartwarming to see parents join the staff team, creating a mix of rivalry and loving support as they played against their own children. This moment marked a special milestone in our Year 6 students’ final year, a memory they will carry forward with pride.

The atmosphere was truly electric. We are so blessed to have such a vibrant, supportive school community, and days like these remind us of the joy and unity that comes from coming together. Absolute JOY filled the air!

Thank you to all involved in organising our day & to our Social Club who supplied our Year 6's with their after game ice-cream treat, which is also an annual occurrence.
