Term 3 comes to an end

The last two weeks of this term have been packed with great learning and special opportunities for our students. We were so excited to welcome the Life Education Van back to our school after a few years away, and it was clear the students loved the interactive sessions.

We also had a fantastic day for RUOK Day. A huge thank you to our staff, who organized excellent activities to promote the important message of looking out for others and ourselves. It was wonderful to see our students engage so thoughtfully.

Speaking of engagement, it's been a very active term for sports! There have been numerous sporting opportunities for our students, and these will continue right up until the end of the term. I was especially thrilled to attend the Primary Public Speaking Finals in Week 8. The quality of the speeches and the confidence in their delivery were truly outstanding—a testament to the hard work of our students, families and teachers.

I was also pleased to be at KD's Prayer Celebration and 3S's Class Mass last week. The students were fantastic, and it fills my heart to see their leadership and participation in the church. The presence of so many families is also a joy.

I have received a number of positive comments from members of the community about our students. As families, you should be so proud that people notice the good manners, friendliness, and excellent presentation of our students in their school uniform. Thank you for working with us to instil these values and make our school community one we can all be proud of.

Staffing and Enrolments

One of our most immediate tasks is to determine our student and staffing numbers for 2026. This information is vital for our planning, from class configurations to resource allocation. To assist us, we kindly ask that you inform the school office as soon as possible if your child or children will not be returning to Holy Trinity School (HTS) in 2026. This early notification is a huge help and allows us to plan effectively for the new school year.

Thank you for your cooperation and continued partnership.

Looking Ahead to Term 4

Mega Raffle and Holy Trinity Race Day

Like last year, the prizes in the P and F Mega Raffle are amazing. All prizes would be worth winning. Please help the P and F help our school by selling as many as you can. The raffle books and money need to be returned to school by Wednesday, 15 October so they can be placed in the draw for Saturday. Tickets are also available online and at the gate on Saturday. It would be wonderful to see as many families at the Inverell Race Course on Saturday 18 October for the drawing of the raffle - it could be you! It is a fun day out for your family to enjoy the company of friends, face-painting and games for the children, fashions in the field with great prizes plus live music by Brock Mathers.

We also need help selling tickets to the public outside LJ Hooker on Fridays and Saturdays until Race Day. Please contact the school office before Friday if you can assist for one or two hours between 10am-12pm. Grab a friend and a coffee and sell some tickets to support our school.

As we look ahead to Term 4, we have some refurbishment work planned for the Secondary Staffroom. This project is a key part of our commitment to providing a modern and collaborative environment for our staff.

This work will involve some changes to our secondary timetable classroom allocation and will also impact parking in the school car park. To accommodate the project, some staff members will need to park on the surrounding streets.

We anticipate this will have a minimal impact on morning drop-off, but it may lead to slightly increased wait times at the end of the day. We will be actively monitoring the situation to ensure it causes as little disruption as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this important upgrade.

In Weeks 1 and 2 of Term 4 I have been seconded to the Armidale Catholic Schools Office to work as a School Performance Officer whilst a member of that team is on leave. I will leave HTS in the capable hands of Miss Kim Bailey who will be supported by Mrs Jacqui Wait and Mrs Cath Koch.

Please remember the last day of Term 3, this Friday 26 September and the first day of Term 4, Monday 13 October are pupil free days.

I hope that every family has a safe and relaxing break from the normal routine of school. May you enjoy this time to rest, reconnect, and recharge. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for an exciting Term 4!
